Ayala Corporation, The Water For All, their associates, and farm workers will embark on a four day crusade to raise awareness of the lack of water and its effects in California. The hardest hit due to the 0% (zero percent) allotment are the West Side and Central Valley farmers, ranchers, workers, and associated businesses.
According to an article in the Fresno Bee on March 21, 2009 Fresno county unemployment rate jumped to 16.4%, Kings County jumped up to 16.3%, Madera county went up to 19.9%, and Tulare County went up to 17.0%.
The City of Mendota is currently facing 41% unemployment due to the water shortage.
With Your Support We Can Make A Difference
Together we can voice loudly and clearly that the current conditions are more than the valley can endure. We need a major course of action and plan for a stable water supply.
Our families and communities depend on a favorable outcome. Our future depends on water.
